I proved to myself that having a bad start doesn't have to make or break you. It's the entire season as a whole that you have to worry about. Ideally, we'd like to win both races for Chevrolet and come away from the weekend ranked first and second in the points. Realistically, we're going after the wins on both days and will worry about the points as the year sorts itself out. It's a long season and this is just the beginning of it. " Winchester Speedway is a very fast, very intimidating race track. Do you remember what went through your mind as you took your first laps at speed around the facility in a sprint car? "I remember asking myself if I could really do this. It was that intimidating. I was running my Dad's car and the place and the speed really made me think.

Scicom bidding for several deals
PETALING JAYA: Business outsourcing firm, Scicom MSC Bhd, is bidding for several deals in South-East Asia and North America, and is also confident of signing new contracts with mobile-phone companies Nokia and Singapore Telecommunications, said research house TA Securities. The brokerage said in a note the landscape for business process outsourcing was revolving rapidly, and that contact centres were being pressured to provide more value-added services to their customers. These companies would be judged based on the volume of business they do, it added. With Malaysia becoming costlier to operate in, Scicom has plans to become more sales oriented,'' TA Securities said. We believe Scicom should remain focused on operating call centres, and its call agents need only make product recommendations for its customers, but need not involve themselves in sales, the note said. At present, the company is trying to secure a deal with a North American financial institution.
